As we celebrate International Women’s day today I am calling on the Government to move with urgency to improve the conditions under which our women are living and to put in place more measures to ensure the safety of our women and girls.

Participation, Accountability and Responsibility (PAR) has been established as the priority focus of the People’s National Party policy development process.  This was a critical outcome of the PNP’s Spokespersons’ Council Retreat, held from March 5 and 7 at Breezes, Trelawny.  The Spokespersons, this weekend, made strides in the development of a set of core policies for the next government formed by the People’s National Party.

In a joint statement this morning, Mayor of Mandeville, Cllr. Brenda Ramsay, and the Member of Parliament for Central Manchester condemned the Government’s crass politicization of the severe water shortage being suffered by the citizens of Greater Mandeville and the wider Manchester.
